Brocklehurst, usually referred to as “Brock” by Kamloopsians is a large neighbourhood on the northwestern side of the city. This area, like North Kamloops, has a variety of housing options including single family homes, mobile homes, apartments, duplexes, half-duplexes, townhouses, and more. From budget friendly apartments to riverfront estates you’ll find a little bit of everything in Brock.
The Brock Shopping Centre provides shopping services for Brock residents and there are a variety of other businesses throughout the neighbourhood. It is also close to North Kamloops which has a large business core.
Brocklehurst has many homes with pools due to the abundance of sunshine that this part of Kamloops receives. The neighbourhood is one of the best for gardeners with lots of sunshine and a warmer climate than those neighbourhoods which span the hills of Kamloops. It is a popular place to grow fruit trees being a zone 6 neighbourhood on the hardiness scale.
If you are a frequent traveler then this may be the neighbourhood for you. This area is close to Kamloops Airport which has an expanding reach of destinations.
The Rivers Trail network has an excellent trail through Brock which is enjoyed by walkers and cyclists alike and when the Thompson River is low you can even walk for miles along the sandy Airport Beach.
