Sahali
With two distinct areas, Sahali is a large neighbourhood that is popular with those who wish to live close to all amenities.
Lower Sahali is close to downtown Kamloops, the hospital and features many single family houses/ townhouse options. Many of the single family homes in this area were built in the 1960’s and 1970’s and have some unique period architectural features. Additionally as lower Sahali is built upon the hills overlooking downtown a number of these homes have views. This portion of Sahali is one of the most highly sought after locations in the city.
Continue climbing up the hills of Kamloops and you’re in the heart of Sahali which features numerous condo, townhouse, and apartment buildings very near to Thompson Rivers University and the majority of the big-box chain retailers in Kamloops.
Upper Sahali has two elementary schools and one high school and lower Sahali has one elementary school. The upper Sahali area features many cul-de-sacs and quiet streets which are popular with families. Many of these streets are connected by trail systems which run throughout the neighbourhood and are little known to those who don’t live in the area. Also accessed from upper Sahali (as well as downtown) is Peterson Creek Park which is an excellent place to hike and walk the dog.
Sahali is also home to Albert McGown Park which is popular in the summer as it is home to a kids spray park.
